Now Republicans want torture investigation…of Pelosi

Welcome to the strange world of Washington, DC politics in which leading Republicans such as Michael Steele, Karl Rove, John Boehner, and Newt Gingrich all want to see a torture investigation…of Nancy Pelosi’s actions on torture when she was ranking minority member of the House Intelligence Committee.

Members of Congress interested in finally closing the chapter on the Bush administration, torture, and Iraq would be crazy not to take advantage of the GOP’s newfound openness to investigations.

There can be no better way to finally put this stuff behind us than by getting the truth on the table with a nonpolitical commission or special prosecutor, taking whatever corrective actions the law may require, and then moving on.
