President Obama at White House Correspondents Dinner
Posted May 9, 2009, 7:30 PM PT by Jed Lewison • First broadcast: May 9, 2009
Among the highlights (this is a rough transcript):
Michael Steele is in the house tonight…or as he would say, in the hee-zee…what’s up?
Michael, where are you? [Steele stands up.] Wussup?
Michael, for the last time, the Republican Party does not qualify for a bailout. Rush Limbaugh does count as a troubled asset. Sorry.
Dick Cheney was supposed to be here, but he couldn’t. He’s working on his memoirs — How to shoot friends and interrogate people.
